Create Stunning Visual Designs: Design eye-catching graphics for digital platforms including social media, email campaigns, and print materials such as marketing collateral, advertisements, presentations, and trade show assets. Your designs will be in sync with Austin Energy's brand guidelines, ensuring a cohesive and impactful visual presence.

Develop Templates for Efficiency: Design and develop templates for presentations, e-books, and social media to maintain consistency and streamline asset creation processes.

Support Engaging Events: Create dynamic graphics for events, from promotional materials to on-site wayfinding visuals, enhancing attendee experiences and event impact.

Integrate Multimedia Elements: Utilize your expertise in video, photography, and typography to enrich designs across both digital and print mediums, ensuring each asset resonates effectively with our audience.

Critical:

This position has been designated as a Critical Employee position. Critical Employees are considered necessary and vital and supports activities that impact City or department operations. This work can be done while at a designated work site or while working at an alternate work location. Critical employees who are able to work at an alternative work location are required to do so. 1. Experience in the management of brand consistency for all internal and outbound communications.

2. Experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of tools for print and video.

3. Experience with design in other communications tools such as SharePoint, MailChimp and Sales Force Marketing Cloud.

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities

Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.

• Creates comprehensive design strategies and packages tailored to customer needs
• Designs and produces websites, motion graphics, style guides, advertisements, promotional materials, print collateral, illustrations, logos, and photography for a wide variety of marketing materials and platforms
• Assists with web and social media presence, development, appearance and updates
• Monitors and coordinates all stages of production to complete projects
• Advises and consults with vendors producing bid specifications, documentation, and contracts for vendors
• Assists in the planning and development of digital advertising, promotional campaigns and strategies
• Acts as art director and liaison for individual projects and client programs
• Assists with the development of long range strategic marketing plans
• Researches best practices, emerging technology, user behavior, interface content, and industry and cultural trends
• Acts as a steward of the brand look and feel and ensures that all creative broadcast across all channels lives up to the highest quality of the City's visual standards
• Collaborates with stakeholders to effectively drive communications and to ensure consistency of brand identity
• Works within the content management system to implement and maintain a consistent and engaging visual web presence
