SUMMARY:

The Digital Fraud Specialist is responsible for analyzing Mobile deposits to detect irregular or suspicious transactions and prevent losses associated with fraud and financial crimes, taking appropriate action to protect the Bank and its customers. This role will assist with investigating cases of fraudulent activity outside of mobile deposits. This role will interact frequently with employees, customers, and authorities.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Time: Description:

60% Analyze mobile deposits and other customer account activity for unusual or suspected fraudulent activity. Evaluate the suspicious activity, recommend appropriate risk-based actions for any cases of potential fraud, including taking action to prevent the transaction in question, if possible, and protect the customer and bank from continued fraudulent activity.

15% Conduct account investigations and research, including interviewing customers and collaborating with personnel from other departments, as appropriate.

10% Provide assistance to employees with questions related to mobile deposits or fraud/security concerns.

5% Maintain knowledge of the Bank's products, services, customers and geographic locations, and the potential fraud risks associated with those activities.

5% Provide management with information on fraud trends occurring at the Bank, locally, and nationally, including tracking of losses and recoveries.

5% Complete other duties as assigned by the Bank's Security Officer. These duties may include things like handling DVR activities, maintaining Bank's intranet and web pages, etc.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma and 3 years branch banking experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong knowledge of bank deposit operations.

  • Strong technical experience.

  • Strong analytical skills and common-sense approach.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Strong customer service skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Verafin experience preferred.
