About this Opportunity

Manages and directly supports the In-Car Camera Audio/Video Recording Equipment (A/VRE). Assists with other digital evidence such as video from businesses/residences and performs other work as required.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as technical liaison coordinator for In-Car Camera A/VRE, Body Worn Camera (BWC), and Interview Room Video Solution

  • Manage inquiries for video and digital photographic evidence and public information requests in accordance with applicable mandates

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment providing effective resolution of issues

  • Manage users and security permissions within software solutions

  • Perform quality control system checks on video systems

  • Enter, manage and maintain video and digital photographic evidence

  • Train users on and assist with using software applications and equipment

  • Maintain software reference documents and related manuals,

  • Assist with software updates/upgrades

  • Develop roadmap for continued expansion and/or requirements of the digital evidence solution

  • Make recommendations and project plans for changes in hardware, software, process or workflow

  • Assist with vendor communication and scheduling

  • Provides broad range of assistance related to video evidence

  • Research and export video from a variety of sources

  • Provide court testimony as needed

  • Attend digital evidence training as needed

  • Assist with License Plate Reader (LPR) program

  • Performs related work as required and is flexible to adjustments to job duties

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science and 1 to 3 years of experience in video and/or digital technology software/hardware or related work;

OR,

  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse population

Required Licenses or Certifications:

  • Must be able to obtain National Crime Information Center (NCIC) certification within six months from date of hire

  • Valid U.S. Driver's license

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must successfully complete NCIC background check, polygraph examination and be fingerprinted upon acceptance of offer of employment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of public safety dispatching, mobile equipment and Record Management System (RMS)

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm
