The Digital Creative Director will help imagine the digital future for Libbey by delivering premium digital experiences centered around our retail and B2B customers and end consumers. The aspiration is to define and build the global ecosystem empowering our business units and markets by providing consistent digital experiences, direction and capabilities while helping to lead a seamless experience across all digital touchpoints. This person will be responsible for the art direction, copy writing, photography, social media assets, online ad creative and other related needs in support of that vision and stated goals. This person will also build and lead a team of designers, copywriters and agency partners.
Under the guidance of brand standards, style guides and tone of voice for Libbey, the Digital Creative Director will be responsible for website creative and content, UX, ecommerce content, online marketing creative and social creative - telling the inspiring and engaging stories to our segmented consumer base to help them understand the benefits of our products with the intention to create quality traffic and increased conversion.
This role will be a part of the Libbey Digital team in Columbus, OH that is dedicated to digital transformation for Libbey, a company with headquarters in Toledo, OH that manufactures and sells leading glassware and tabletop products in the U.S. and across the globe, with brands such as Libbey, Royal Leerdam and Crisal. The Libbey Digital Team is tasked with building new digital, ecommerce and related capabilities for the company to continue on its 200 years of success.
Lead and drive the optimization of the master creative for all of our digital channels
Define, shape and drive content production in close cooperation with the retail, foodservice and B2B units globally
Lead the creative concepts and ideation, production, and coordination for the business units aligned to seasonal execution plans to support global and local activations
Ensure content delivers on objectives and meets all brand and business unit standards
Drive and shape the delivery of digital assets in close cooperation with digital team, including the optimization of in-take processes, approvals and go-live work streams
Oversee all production work including photo shoots, external partners, user-generated content, crowd-sourced content, influencer produced content and similar work to build a content machine for Libbey digital
Budget, organize and manage a high-quality free-lance and agency pool that can be scaled up and down based on seasonality, peak demand and newly generated projects
Responsible, in close collaboration with the business units and channel leads, to create commercial concepts that ensure high engagement and activation of our customer base throughout those events
Disciplined traffic management, coordination and prioritization will ensure a smooth operation of your team across multiple countries, stakeholders, high quality creative output and on time delivery
Assist in the development of an annual content and campaign calendar, identifying content needs in support of major events identified as opportunities to tell the Libbey story, build the brand and drive sales
Promote a high-performance culture by setting clear expectations and individual goals
Take ownership for talent management processes to grow, develop and retain talent
Translate the company goals into team specific actions and business plans as well to control and monitor performance and results
Collaborate with product marketing team on the creation of assets to support digital marketing and ecommerce, including photography, video and related creative needs
Requirements & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required
10+ years of experience as a digital, interactive and/or web content designer
Proven track record of success with digital creative concept testing and optimization
5+ years of experience in people management
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Proven track record of establishing credible strategies
Experience/exposure of startup organization preferred
Demonstrated ability in effectively building and leading diverse teams
Ability to be self-directed while working under tight deadlines
Affinity with the brand marketing content delivery needs, solutions and processes
Superior presentation skills and comfort with a variety of audiences
Advanced interpersonal talents and excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to navigate through a complex, multi-regional organization
