Zumiez is looking for a Digital Content Producer that has a keen eye for creating mind blowing experiences for our customers and empowering our store employees to drive sales. The Digital Content Producer will collaborate with Digital and Brand Marketing stakeholders to ensure on time, error-free delivery of high-quality content that is optimized across digital touchpoints. This role will evolve to manage strategic content initiatives, utilizing the latest SEO and accessibility best practices to drive digital traffic and engagement.
Responsibilities
Create digital content which meet our high standards around user experience, site speed, responsive design, search engine optimization (SEO) and web accessibility.
Manage and execute the daily publishing schedules for multiple sites and mobile applications.
Close collaboration and alignment with various key business stakeholders across multiple teams to accurately scope and prioritize each request, ensuring content is consistently delivered on time, under budget, and error free.
Present and communicate status on the delivery execution of the content production schedule.
Serve as a liaison between the business and technical stakeholders.
Lead resolution of production issues and escalate when necessary.
Participate in defining and adhering to our in-house agile development standards around quality, reusability, reliability, scalability, and performance.
Ensure consistency and alignment with brand guidelines and marketing strategies.
Monitor and analyze website traffic and user engagement metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to improve performance.
Ad-hoc support and incident resolution as needed, including being on-call during peak selling periods to maximize business uptime.
Required Qualifications
Prior experience in web design, graphic design, content creation, information technology, online marketing, or similar area is desired.
Creative thinker with a passion for digital media and storytelling.
Demonstrate proficient use of web design languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery.
Familiarity with web standards, technologies, design principles, and best practices.
Basic understanding of integrated development environment (IDE), content management systems (CMS), digital assets management (DAM), version control systems (Git), and e-commerce platforms are a plus.
Experience with JIRA, Basecamp, Smartsheet, Trello, or similar project management toolsets to manage production schedules, tracking, key performance indicators, budget, resources, and timelines.
Experience working with the Microsoft Office suite of tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
