The North Carolina Community Group content manager works with editors to manage websites and social media accounts for six community newspapers. The content manager works with editors to maintain regular site updates, email newsletters, breaking news alerts and social media posts on local and regional content. The manager must have strong news judgment and is also responsible for posting state and regional content, sharing video, working with a national desk on managing trending content and reporting on analytics. On-site, regular attendance is required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Create and actively update news, email and social media primarily Facebook and Twitter.
Aid in digital opportunities for NC Community papers/websites.
Coordinate breaking news and news postings to the website with editors.
Report on analytics to determine trends in each site.
On-site, regular and reliable attendance is required.
Perform and execute all work practices in a safe manner. Constant safety awareness is mandatory for all employees.
Maintain a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and a good motor vehicle report.
All other responsibilities and duties must be completed as assigned.
