Entercom Minneapolis/St. Paul is looking for A DIGITAL AND SOCIAL MEDIA SUPERSTAR to lead the online strategy for our stellar properties which include WCCO-AM, KMNB, KZJK as well as local podcasts and local content contributions to

You will oversee the 24/7 production and content strategy for our local Minneapolis/St. Paul properties. A key part of your strategy will be how to best integrate on air and online content and experiences across our properties. Additionally, this position will require seeking and securing editorial relationships with local writers, content partners and bloggers, setting and managing the local editorial calendar, overseeing the local editorial team and coordinating efforts with the local revenue team.


  • Track engagement metrics for news and programming guidance.

  • Collaborate with the national editorial and operations teams on overall editorial site strategies and project execution.

  • Work with local marketing and programming teams to increase user / viewer / listener awareness of digital and social initiatives.

  • Be accountable for achieving digital traffic goals.

  • Set and manage the local editorial calendars for news, sports, politics, lifestyle and music.

  • Supervise, manage and schedule the editorial team.

  • Cultivate, negotiate and maintain local editorial relationships and blogger pools.

  • Collaborate with news, programming and revenue teams on content strategies and execution.

  • Partner with Sales lead(s) to develop sponsorable editorial opportunities, execute on sponsor

  • A minimum of 5+ year's digital/newsroom management experience preferred.

  • You must have a strong appreciation for and work experience within the 24/7 digital news world and expert in social media promotion and practice.

  • Thrive under unrelenting deadline pressure.

  • Knowledge and passion for local news, sports, politics and music and proven to have sound news judgment and editorial standards.

  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • Knowledge of WordPress, Photoshop and a working knowledge of HTML.

  • College degree preferred.

No Agency e-mails, calls or solicitations accepted Responsibilities The Digital Content Specialist Partner with learning and development and communications team members to successfully develop various learning and communication solutions to support the success of Mortenson's business imperatives. Specifically, responsible for the development and production of digital content including editing and producing video assets. * Shoot and edit video for interviews, online learning courses, social media initiatives, company events, and other video needs * Assemble video and audio in editing software, edit or add visual effects, sound effects, and render all video and audio for necessary delivery methods * Evaluate, recommend, and implement innovative technical tools to enhance both formal and informal development via digital learning methods, provide strategic guidance based on assessment * Team to develop learning solutions utilizing appropriate medium/media, such as; webinars, custom e-learning courses, blended learning solutions, training bursts, videos, games, simulations, storyboards, scripts, screenshots, websites, and other digital learning solutions to execute high impact learning solutions * Advise on up to date, cutting-edge video methodology, mobile learning, and other technologies to develop learning solutions for use in appropriate situations to benefit the organization * Perform research on a broad array of topics to ensure educationally-sound content for learning solutions * Implement ways to increase learner engagement and participation, learning impact, and learner retention * Identify metrics and develop evaluation methodologies; analyze data and drive continuous improvement * Monitor project performance against targets and milestones, develop reporting to demonstrate the impact of learning, more than merely completion or utilization rates Qualifications * Minimum of four years of experience in audio and video recording, editing, and production * Team and customer service orientation with ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team * Strong organizational and problem solving skills including ability to troubleshoot * Strong work ethic; planning and organizational skills; demonstrates end-to-end accountability * Ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment, while remaining flexible and adapting to shifting business needs * Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn complex software quickly * Ability to consistently meet deadlines with high quality work Education: * Bachelor's degree in online instructional design, multi-media, video production, broadcasting, communication, or related field.
