We are looking for a Digital Content Editor to develop, curate and produce stories and content for Baker Hughes' corporate brand channels, namely the corporate website and social media platforms. Reporting into the Digital Content Strategist, the content editor will also be responsible for writing, copy editing, and producing content and identifying stories. This role will partner closely with other communications functions commercial, employee, digital, external/financial communications.
In the role of Digital Content Editor, you will:
Managing and leading production of content both as a contributor and/or managing an agency or internal resources: copywriting and/or design, and managing creative agencies where appropriate to facilitate production
Acting as 'corporate reporter' unearthing compelling content that meets strategic priorities to develop proactive storytelling
Working with content team to curate content that will engage our target audiences
Drafting / producing, editing content for digital sites to align with corporate communications messaging and brand
Publishing corporate brand content through digital tools (CMS, Kapost)
Working with team members to measure, evaluate and continuously improve and report on key metrics such as audience growth, engagement, and conversions
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum 5 years of experience in any or all of the following: brand, marketing, digital strategy
Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Marketing or Communications from an accredited university or college preferred
Expertise in social media and web operations/ management
Excellent copywriter, with experience in social & web copy development.
Excellent writer & communicator
Basic graphic design or video editing experience a plus
Ability to understand and translate complicated concepts
Self-starter with hands-on, natural leadership and the demeanour, business maturity, intellect and integrity required to establish credibility with partners and business leaders
Experience with social media channels, and web operations / management
Big picture focus and ability to break problems into digestible pieces
Execution oriented with a collaborative mind-set
Ability to work with creative agencies (PR, advertising, digital) to drive success
Experience in B2B, oil and gas / energy marketing a plus
