SUMMARY

The Digital Content Developer Intern is responsible for assisting in the creation life cycle of digital assets to include: instructional design, content development, learning asset/delivery system management, and the creation of reporting data. They will work within a team environment to design mobile learning assets that can be offered on multiple delivery systems, for all training programs, benchmarked against industry standards. They will assist with the data generation and reporting of all training through the technology platform and prepare data for collaboration with training operations team to create monthly dashboards and sales training metrics. Ensures that all technology solutions meet consistent standards across product and skills training, and will continually look for ways to improve the training department through the use of mobile learning and technology. Assist and collaborate with the product and skills trainers to identify and implement the most appropriate mobile learning solutions based on desired outcomes. Ensures that all external vendors are in compliance with corporate standards and meets or exceed department expectations

Mobile Learning Digital Content Development

  • Collaborate with Sales Skills and product trainers to develop, implement and adapt Smith & Nephews learning content to support our Sales Rep training program

  • Create SCORM compliant learning assets that can be utilized on multiple learning platforms

  • Work with different digital formats to meet the ever changing medium of eLearning

  • Utilize adult learning principles in the design and creation of sales training content

  • Create digital learning assets that will be used during live training events

  • Creates digital content which assists with train the trainer sessions on using mobile learning technology with training department staff to enhance overall impact of training content and enhance learning environment and retention

  • Assists with the development and execution of the internal testing & assessment strategy

  • Capture learning activity data that will be used to generate monthly sales training dashboards and metrics

  • Measure/analyze performance of all web and digital content activity, including traffic, content, and assessment results

  • Ensures compliance with all Smith & Nephew policies

Mobile Learning Platform Maintenance

  • Maintains mobile learning & technology platforms for the sale organization

  • Assist in identifying platform enhancements that will allow for easy navigation, findability, and measurement of content utilization

  • Assure that departmental mobile/eLearning standards and metrics are incorporated

  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of live training learning assets, that are used during our Wound Care Essentials live training to include pre and post training requirements

  • Maintain the operation and implementation of the internal LMS (Learn Center)

Vendor Relations

  • Work with external vendors to identify enhancements to the current platforms we use, that will improve the functionality and reliability

  • Collaborates with all product and skills trainers to appropriately integrate mobile learning technology based applications and ensure cross-brand consistency

Education Requirement:

Bachelors Degree required, current enrollment in relevant Masters degree program preferred

Licenses and Certifications

  • Academic and practical experience with Digital learning content development tools supporting use within both iOS and Android devices

  • Exposure to current Learning Management Systems, have a working knowledge of mobile learning and it's multiple delivery platforms, as well as current trends in educational training and development.

  • Experience with HTML5, and or rapid E-Learning tools that will publish as html5 SCOs. (Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360, Camtasia)

Competencies

  • Demonstrated working knowledge and experience with content development products such those found in the Adobe Creative Cloud to include (Photoshop, Animate CC, Audition, After Effects, Premiere Pro, InDesign)

  • Experience with SCORM or equivalent content development standards

  • Working knowledge and experience within the iOS and Android environment

  • Working knowledge and experience with HTML5

  • High personal integrity and ethics with uncompromising standards

  • Excellent intra/inter personnel and communication skills
