In our continuous effort to foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, we are excited to announce the search for a Digital Content and Experiences Librarian. This pivotal role is designed for an individual who is knowledgeable about electronic resources and committed to leveraging digital technologies to enrich the library experience for our users. The successful candidate will enjoy developing collections and increasing accessibility, integration, and usability across digital interfaces to ensure a seamless digital experience for the end-user.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technology Leadership and Oversight: Lead the exploration, adoption, and integration of emerging technologies to support information discovery and access, library technology for teaching and learning, web services architecture and integration, digital humanities, and college archives.

• Digital Collections Management: Oversee all aspects of the electronic resource lifecycle, including acquisition, licensing, discovery, access, maintenance, and evaluation, employing creative solutions to maximize the impact and accessibility of online resources.

• User Experience and Accessibility: Champion the development and management of user-centered designs and practices across the library's digital platforms, ensuring a seamless and accessible digital experience for all users.

• Strategic Relationship Building: Center relationship-building in work processes, collaborating closely with vendors, publishers, consortia, library colleagues, and the college community to enhance digital offerings and services.

• Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Remain current on industry trends to continually refine and advance the library's digital services and collections. Lead the development of workflows, policies, and standards for effective electronic resource management.

• Educational Support and Engagement: Engage in the library's educational efforts through teaching, the creation of instructional materials, and the provision of reference services, fostering an environment of lifelong learning.

• Outreach, Advocacy, and Support: Provide support for scholarly communication, including promoting open access principles, advocating for open scholarship, negotiating licensing agreements, and supporting the adoption of open educational resources (OER) to enhance accessibility and visibility of research outputs

• Budget and Resource Allocation: Advise on the management of the electronic resources budget with a strategic approach to the allocation and utilization of funds to support digital initiatives.

• ALA-accredited MLS/MLIS or an equivalent advanced degree.

• Demonstrated leadership in the adoption of user-centered technologies and practices.

• Proficiency in integrated library systems, digital tools (e.g., SUSHI, OpenURL, KBART, COUNTER), and a well-rounded knowledge of library-specific technologies and architectures.

• Exceptional ability in relationship-building, problem-solving, and working effectively with diverse, multicultural communities.

• Strong commitment to creating an equitable and inclusive environment for all community members.

• Experience in managing digital collections and familiarity with current trends in libraries and electronic resource management.
