What You'll Be Helping Achieve

RPA is seeking a Digital Associate Media Director to join the Media Planning team. The Digital Associate Media Director will lead digital planning and buying across display and integrated partnerships. They will lead, inspire and challenge a team consisting of a supervisor, planner and assistant media planner to produce innovative media recommendations. An ideal candidate will be a self-starter that will be able to provide strong, inspiring leadership for the team and thrive in a fast pace environment. We would like someone who has extensive digital media planning experience, strong organizational and multitasking skills, is detailed oriented and possess strong "big picture" strategic creative thinking abilities. This position will work closely with other departments within the agency and must have be a team player with strong interpersonal skills. Candidates will have 7+ years of digital media experience.

What You'll Be Working On

  • Lead digital planning and buying for all media recommendations (large integrated partnerships, online display opportunities, and select social programs)

  • Collaborate with strategy group and specialized media planning teams to develop holistic digital media strategy (programmatic, multicultural, branded content, social & video) for model launches, brand initiatives, and integrated campaigns

  • Coordinate with internal teams and departments on creative, content, and general campaign integrations

  • Lead day to day client requests

  • Regularly analyze campaigns to maximize ROI results and generate key learnings to inform future recommendations

  • Troubleshoot and problem solve for key client requests

  • Train, mentor, manage, and oversee growth of digital media team

  • Oversee management of budgetary tasks and billing responsibilities

  • Foster relationships and build strong rapport with clients and outside sales rep community

  • Regularly and proactively read trades, stay informed, and provide updates of new media trends and developments in the digital landscape

  • Guide process and provide input for legal and business contracts for custom programs

  • Construct publisher and client POVs upon request

How You'll Excel In Your Role

  • Thorough knowledge of digital landscape, planning and buying

  • Strong written, verbal, communication and presentation skills

  • Strong management skills - provide leadership, guidance, training, and effective delegation

  • Solid analytical skills, and attention to detail

  • Ability to think "big picture" strategically and creatively

  • Capacity to work on high volume of assignments concurrently and flexibility to shift priorities as necessary

  • Solid interpersonal skills ability to work and lead within a team environment, can speak confidently and regularly to senior level clients and outside sales rep community

  • Proficient with key industry tools such as ComScore, Prisma, DCM, eMarketer, etc.

  • Digital media planning and buying background on automotive/entertainment brands

  • Experience working with a DMP

  • Experience working on branded content or multichannel programs

  • Solid interpersonal skills ability to work and lead within a team environment, can speak confidently and regularly to senior level clients and outside sales rep community

  • Proficient with key industry tools such as ComScore, Prisma, DCM, eMarketer, etc.
