We're seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Digital Assets Coordinator / Photo Editor at Southern Shirt. As a key member of our creative department, you'll be responsible for curating and enhancing our visual content to create a cohesive brand experience. As our Digital Assets Coordinator / Photo Editor, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that our visual content meets the highest standards of quality and consistency. You'll work closely with our creative team, photographers, and graphic designers to edit and enhance product and lifestyle photos, maintaining our brand aesthetic and storytelling. In addition to photo editing, you'll also be responsible for managing our digital assets, organizing and ensuring efficient storage, accessibility, and version control. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be instrumental in maintaining an organized library of visual resources for marketing campaigns and web development.

Responsibilities

Photo Editing and Enhancement:

  • Cull, retouch, and enhance product and lifestyle photography to meet brand aesthetic and storytelling goals.
  • Ensure consistency in color correction, exposure, and composition across all visual assets.
  • Collaborate with photographers to capture the desired imagery and edit according to brand guidelines and project requirements.

Digital Asset Management:

  • Create, organize, and manage libraries of digital assets, ensuring efficient storage, consistent file naming conventions, and version control.
  • Provide seamless access to digital assets for marketing campaigns, web development, and social posts.
  • Maintain organization, file naming conventions, and metadata for all digital assets.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with the creative team, photographers, and graphic designers to understand project goals and requirements.
  • Collect and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine visual content and maintain brand consistency.
  • Effectively communicate project status, challenges, and opportunities to relevant team members and stakeholders.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all visual assets meet the highest standards of quality and consistency.
  • Perform thorough quality checks to identify and address any issues or inconsistencies.

Trend Research:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in photography and digital asset management.
  • Identify and recommend innovative and creative solutions to enhance our visual storytelling.

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously evaluate and improve photo editing and digital asset management processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Suggest and implement tools and technologies to streamline workflows and improve collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in photography, visual arts, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in photo editing and digital asset management, preferably in the fashion, retail, or e-commerce industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Lightroom.
  • Understanding of visual composition, lighting, and photography aesthetics.
  • Excellent understanding of color correction, image manipulation, and retouching techniques.
  • Experience with digital asset management tools and systems.
  • Excellent eye for composition, color, and detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with photography equipment and techniques, including lighting and studio setups.
  • Understanding of file formats, resolution, and optimization for various digital platforms.
  • Experience in video editing and motion graphics is a plus.
