POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Ecommerce Manager Department:Marketing

Classification:Exempt Approved By: Human Resources

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

Position Reports To: VP of Marketing

POSITION PURPOSE

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Ecommerce Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing, e-commerce, and content creation. This role requires strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of driving business growth through innovative marketing strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Ecommerce Leadership:

  • Maintain current Ecommerce position but continue to develop and implement an eCommerce brand and strategy that aligns with the company's overall mission, values, and growth objectives.

  • Identify and prioritize key growth opportunities.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, consumer behavior, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and competitive advantage.

  • Marketing P&L Management:

  • Optimize marketing P&L for EOTECH's eCommerce business, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.

  • Develop and manage annual operating plans and budgets that ensure profitable growth.

  • Monitor marketing media performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.

  • Digital Experience Optimization:

  • Ensure a seamless and personalized customer experience across all channels, from initial product discovery to purchase and post-purchase support.

  • Utilize data and analytics to identify customer friction points and opportunities for improvement.

  • Collaborate with team to develop compelling product content, including product descriptions, imagery, and multimedia assets, to optimize product presentation and enhance the online shopping experience.

  • Marketing & Merchandising:

  • Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute effective online marketing campaigns, including SEO, SEM, social media, email, and content marketing.

  • Curate compelling product assortments that meet the needs and preferences of target customers.

  • Develop strategies around pricing, promotions, and shipping that maximize profitability while remaining competitive.

  • Partner with sales to develop effective co-op marketing strategies and tactics to drive growth for partners.

  • Operations & Technology:

  • Ensure smooth operations and content updates.

  • Partner with technology teams to implement and maintain robust eCommerce platforms, systems, and integrations.

  • Ensure the security and privacy of customer data and comply with relevant data protection regulations.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in a field related to this position- Marketing, Business, E-Commerce.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar or related role.
  • Basic understanding of Java Script and Python code.
  • Strong overall business acumen with copywriting and editing skills.
  • Direct and detailed experience with website management and E-Commerce platforms, specifically Magento.
  • Results oriented with background in metric monitoring and reporting.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities with tight deadlines
  • Relationship management background with industry partners and vendors
  • Thrive in a team environment and embrace collaboration across varied platforms
  • Knowledge and proficiency of firearms, optics, and firearm industry.
  • Proficient in ERP software and Adobe suite.
  • Experience with CRM and Marketing Automation platforms such as Klaviyo for customer segmentation, targeting and personalized marketing campaigns.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of ecommerce growth and scale.
  • 10+ years of experience in ecommerce growth and marketing, including site optimization, marketing operations, paid media, paid search, paid social, display, video, influencer and brand marketing.
