Digital acquisition is a key drivers of growth and focus for American Express.

Reporting to the VP, Head of Acquisition and Engagement. Global Network and International Card Services (GNICS), Italy, the Director will be responsible for the acquisition team, based in Milan, and will take care of the entire digital acquisition channel for Amex Italy managing 10M$/Year acquisition investments. This role has two direct reports and six internal resources to manage plus a number of external vendors. The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of the digital advertising (with strong focus on performance) and media planning across all types of campaigns (e.g. awareness, performance, programmatic, search) and has proven understanding of trafficking processes. Key to success will be a solid digital background and experience, with the ability to develop strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders (e.g. creative agencies and media center).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a winning team with a startup culture

  • Define a digital strategy with challenging growth objectives

  • Redesign our Member get Member strategy

  • Optimize the prospect journey launching innovation initiatives

  • Define new acquisition offers

  • Develop a structured digital media strategy

  • Define and deliver digital media plan

  • Manage third party agencies with a daily relationship

  • Monitor digital metrics and KPIs with pre and post-campaign analysis

Qualifications:

  • At least to 7-10 years of experience in digital acquisition, marketing and media planning

  • Strong understanding and experience of usage of digital channels/platforms to drive direct digital conversions

  • Degree in Engineering or Marketing Communication or similar

  • Strong leadership and proven team management

  • Fluent English and Italian

  • Independent and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Organization and ability to meet the delivery deadlines

  • Proactivity and ability to find creative and unconventional solution
