The Account Executive will be responsible for growing revenue across NBC Owned TV Stations digital platforms through the development and sale of creative advertising solutions to clients. The AE will develop a solid understanding of our ad products and have solid consultative selling skills to be able to best develop solutions to meet client needs and close deals. Revenue closure, account relationship building, customer satisfaction, and product implementation success are key responsibilities.


Aggressively meet and develop strong business relationships with all buyers, media planners and brand managers in your assigned territory

Ensure optimal market coverage, professional client engagements, increasing awareness of products, services and capabilities

Identify and develop strategies for penetrating key accounts and prospects

Provide continual input and assessments to sales management in order to drive ongoing improvements in sales strategy and approach

Achieve Quarterly revenue targets as assigned by Digital Sales Management

Manage the opportunity pipeline and revenue forecasting

Participate in weekly pipeline, and proposal review meetings

Identify, coordinate, and attend all appropriate local marketing and advertising association events

Collaborate and assist NBC Local's sales teams utilizing expertise to drive results


Qualifications/ Requirements
3 + years in digital media sales in a media company

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Eligibility Requirements

VIEW JOBS 3/22/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-20T00:00 The Role * The Digital Account Executive is the day-to-day steward on assigned client business and provides the digital marketplace and strategy teams with the most effective and relevant media plan recommendations to meet client goals. * Master the digital marketplace and evaluate programs and pricing on a regular basis. * Thoroughly understand the digital world and client business by staying abreast of the digital marketplace activity gained through constant analysis and education; understanding and bearing in mind the client(s) perspective, especially when participating in strategy discussions. * Seek out a strong cooperative relationship with multiple business counterparts (Internal OMG teams and Digital Vendors). * By nature, be curious and open to investigating unique opportunities to reach the target consumer, yet prepared to provide a point-of-view, recommendation, and alternative options to the various digital media tools in the marketplace. * Accountable for results, which can in part be defined as execution of the media plan; optimizing site/placement after reviewing campaign results; offering tactical alternatives based on client needs and requests. * The Digital Account Executive is the primary guide to take assigned Assistant Account Executives through the fundamentals of the planning process, to delegate responsibilities that will simultaneously meet business goals and contribute to the Assistant AE's development, develop timelines to help manage deadlines and time management; and to provide directional and timely feedback. Responsibilities * Assist the Investment Manager and Associate Directors in planning functions, such as media plan development, research, strategy development, buying and negotiating media * Negotiate and execute media buys, collaborate with digital partners, coordinate with assistants on implementation of insertion orders * Develop media plans, evaluate and assess vendors using proprietary research tools and industry knowledge * Develop and train the Assistant Digital Account Executive, provide mentorship, arrange training sessions and manage their daily workflow/tasks including campaign management and monthly billing * Attend publisher meetings and develop expertise in digital opportunities, new technologies, digital platforms, innovation, research insights and capabilities, industry learning, etc. * Participate or lead in direct client communications when appropriate Requirements * Bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, communications or related field * 1 years of digital media buying, negotiation and implementation experience in an agency environment is required * Fluent user of Microsoft office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word that enjoys working with and has aptitude for mathematical concepts * An understanding of the digital marketplace and account management as well as a passionate student of the digital industry * Avid explorer in and user of multi-digital vehicles; enthusiastically strengthens knowledge of the relationship opportunities between on-and-offline media * Able to understand application of, and consistently advance knowledge using, industry tools such as Prisma, DDS, DCM, Sizmek, ComsCore, Nielsen * Possesses a basic knowledge of the disciplines underlying these principles e.g. economics, journalism, psychology * Solves problems outside the box * Excellent presentation skills * Conveys thoughts, ideas, feelings and decisions in a clear, concise and appropriate manner.
