Job Summary
The Center for Engaged Liberal Arts is seeking a part-time student worker who has an interest in supporting other students as they document their academic and co-curricular learning experiences using the Digication e-portfolio platform. Students who have familiarity with and/or interest in e-portfolios, digital design, and reflective practices are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Help students be successful in their use of Digication.
Create exemplary work on the Digication platform that can serve as an example to students, faculty and staff.
Create and run sessions on how to use the platform.
Help with the development of resources to help students complete projects/assignments on the Digication platform. This may include building instructions (video and or text), finding exemplary work in the platform that could be used as examples for others, and being sensitive to student needs as it relates to building websites and reflecting on their own work.
Create promotional materials
Qualifications
Already have experience in peer mentoring at Oberlin College
Have experience with Digication or any other web publishing platform and desire to continue developing this skill set
Enthusiastic about peer mentoring as it relates to website development and reflection
Available to work between 5 and 7 hours per week.
Comfortable with giving presentations and running workshops
