Job Description:

The DIG Developer functions on a team that collaborates with other offices internal and external to IT, conducts whse conversions to support realignment of business districts within FEI's legacy system, moves product and demand from one location to another within a logon to support location closures, converts legacy system data to new ERPs, migrates ERP and MDM data, maps Trilogie data to ODS Staging and provides maintenance support of the RTI (Real Time Interface) system. Areas of responsibility include taking ownership of assigned events, various types of research, development work through stages of SDLC, documenting events and continuous improvement. Critical activities include managing an assigned event from beginning to end, responsible for updating of data in production, ensuring development coincides with current standards, collaborating with developers to address issues or concerns, finding solutions for branch issues, if applicable, or ensuring follow-up. For EDA (External Data Access) and RTI, coordinating and working with Quality Assurance and Business Analyst groups to ensure expected outcome of user stories. Many of the assigned tasks must happen on weekends and after normal business hours and there is occasional travel for acquisitions.


  • Support critical data migration activity to Oracle in support of The Bridge

  • Learn and use DIG toolset and new tools for migrating data with and between ERP systems (ACQBP, CONVBP, BP, etc.)

  • Prepare for the actual events conference calls, reports, planning meetings with business

  • Execute conversions and acquisitions from HQ or on-site from cradle to post-conversion

  • Learn EDA Replication and mapping process to complete research and development on EDA user stories

  • Learn RTI mapping process and Trilogie Trigger process to complete research and development on RTI user stories

  • Develop Applications software tools to automate, improve, or change DIG processes and procedures

  • Learn various ERP migration tools for transition to new platforms

  • Work with Trilogie system files and understand the business applications of related file structures (FEIBP) TCL queries, pre-stores, downloads

  • Build technical designs that properly leverage our architecture to development of small and medium-sized projects

  • Adhere to audit requirements for updating data in Production

  • Work with peers, team leads, and supervisors in a collaborative and shared-learning environment


  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Related or Business related field an equivalent amount of professional experience are encouraged to apply

  • Programming experience with Basic programming, SQL, Visual Basic

  • Basic understanding of ERP platforms and general business functions legacy system and new systems, as applicable

  • Experience working with relational databases, including, but not limited to Oracle, SQL Server

  • Knowledgeable in Excel

  • Experience within the SDLC components and working in an Agile environment

  • Experience with communicating with associates at all levels of the company with emotional intelligence

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences in written and non-written formats.
