The Registered Dietitian plans, directs, and provides optimal nutritional care to all pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Provides counseling and/or assistance to the patient's family/significant other in an effort to maintain consistency or care after the patient's discharge.
Acts as a liaison between the Food Services Department and the patient and/or patient's family, medical staff, and hospital a staff member. This shall be carried out in accordance with all state/federal laws, JACHO standards, and hospital/departmental policies and procedures.
