Bring your compassion, expertise, and enthusiasm for others and apply today. We are currently seeking an on-call Dietician to join our Dietary team as the hospital continues to expand.
This on-call Registered Dietitian will plan modified diets as requested by the attending physician. He/she provides nutrition assessments for patients as needed, and counsel's patients and their families on a healthy lifestyle practices to include but not limited to; dietary plans, food selections, preparation, and nutritional and exercise principles.
Candidate will utilize electronic medical record charts (EPIC) to document assessment notes. Must be able to collaborate with the Food Service Department staff on therapeutic meal/snack adjustments. During assessments, he/she will provide nutrition instruction and education to patients, medical staff, and food service staff.
Education: Bachelor's (Required) or Master's Degree in Nutrition from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Requires a minimum of three (3) years dietary experience in a health care facility, with concentration in nutrition assessment and planning.
Licensure: Requires registration with the Commission on Dietetic Association and the Department of Health. Candidate must be a Licensed Dietitian in the state of Pennsylvania.
Candidate must have availability to participate in a highly educational full-time 5 day training program including CPR training, mental health first aid training, as well as education in trauma-informed care and verbal de-escalation

Wage is determined based on years of experience and level of education. Training is provided for this position.
Work Hours: Hours will vary based on hospital census. Willingness to occasionally work on a Saturday/Sunday is required.
This is a new position at Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital. As such, this position is likely to evolve over time as both the patient census and the clinical nutrition program expand.
