Dietitian Nutritionist II

Position will provide coverage at HCA West in Houston, TX a 273-bed acute care facility that offers a variety of medical care. Services include critical care, Med/Surg, Level II NICU, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient services. Sodexo offers:

Start with 3 weeks’ vacation and 3 personal days Reimbursement for AND dues, state licensure fees and CDR renewal Money toward continuing education events Up to $5000 tuition reimbursement annually Position will report to the Clinical Nutrition Manager and selected candidate will: ​ Be a Registered Dietitian, Licensed Dietitian Be the expert for patients and family members, as well as facility staff and provide concepts of nutrition and diet modifications. Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills Assist in quality improvement projects in clinical nutrition and food service projects as appropriate. Perform nutrition-focused physical exams, provide nutrition support recommendations and nutrition education as needed; Monitor and evaluate patient care outcomes on an ongoing basis; Participate in departmental, clinical, and other meetings related to areas of practice; Utilize electronic medical records with Meditech Conduct nutrition assessments and provide diet education to inpatients as well as outpatients.

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.

In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
