Dietitian Internship Coordinator FT Days BMC

Up to $3,000 Sign-On bonus based on experience

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs the functions of a specialized clinical nutrition service, such as nutrition assessment, nutrition education, nutrient intake analysis and patient screening to provide quality nutrition care to patients and families. Responsible for directing the Dietetic Internship Program in accordance with the accreditation standards established by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics, and Baptist Health System/Tenet Healthcare standards and policies.

Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Master's Degree in nutrition/dietetics or related field of study.

PREFERRED EDUCATION: DoctorateDegree in nutrition/dietetics or related healthcare field.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 3 years of professional experience post credentialing.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 6 years professional experience post credentialing.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current licensure by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Dietitians, current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Certified Nutrition Support Clinician
