Dietetic Technician (PRN - will work as needed)

The Dietetic Technician (PRN) is responsible for daily routines and functions in order to see that all patients receive meals in a timely fashion and the meals meet the Physician order and patient preferences.

Salary: $14.00 hourly

Responsibilities

  • Writes nutritional assessment of patient's needs by gathering and interpreting medical and social records and submits to supervisor for approval.

  • Reviews and maintains files of diet orders and nourishment to inform food services of patient's needs.

  • Informs physician of patient's dietary problems, including requesting reviews or renewals of diet orders.

  • Takes patient's meal order and delivering the food to them.

  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School diploma/GED plus 2 years' experience in customer service. Ideal candidate is team-oriented and has great customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a food service or patient care setting

Our Main OR is a 19 room suite, operational 24/7, and located on the 2nd floor of the Central Hospital. There are 10 endoscopic rooms, 2 laminar flow rooms, 2 DaVinci Robotic rooms and a dedicated endovascular room. It is a fast paced environment performing state of the art procedures with state of the art equipment. Specialties include: Gynecology, Urology, Orthopedic (total and trauma), Vascular, Cardiovascular (open heart), E.N.T., Plastic/Reconstructive, and General (Kidney and Liver transplant) and Neurosurgery. We offer the AORN peri-op course for RN's seeking OR experience coordinated by our department educator. Responsibilities The Surgical Scrub Tech assembles supplies for surgical procedures, maintains the sterile field, passes surgical instruments, and assists in room preparation. Ensures availability of appropriate instrumentation, supplies and equipment for assigned cases. Preparation of the OR : Ensures that the room has been prepared for the upcoming cases, with appropriate equipment available and ready for use. Ensures that the instruments are cleaned arranged and transported to the soiled workroom according to department policy; independently assists with instrument reprocessing tasks when assigned cases are completed and time permits; Ensures that the operating rooms are case-ready for the following day's cases; Exhibits practical knowledge of OR equipment including maintenance and safety aspects. Qualifications Required: MUST BE a Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Technologist Program. Must have excellent communication skills, strong work ethics, and accountability. Preferred: 2 years Certified Surgical Scrub Technologist.
