Job Summary The Enteral Feeding Lab (EFL) Dietetic Technician will coordinate all daily activities of the EFL and is responsible for the calculation, preparation, delivery, and monitoring of specialized infant formula, modulated infant or pediatric formulas and medical nutrition supplements. The EFL Dietetic Technician is responsible for complying with all CHS and Department policies, and regulations related to the operation of the EFL. The EFL Dietetic Technician is responsible for communication of problems related to formulas, formula orders, storage, delivery or administration to the healthcare team and clinical staff. The EFL Dietetic Technician is responsible for inventory management and procurement of formula and supplies for the EFL. Education Minimum education and job-related experience o Associate degree in an applied science with 6-12 months of clinical work experience required o OR an Associate degree with a certificate from an American Dietetic Association approved dietetic technician program preferred. Preferred education and job-related experience o Bachelor#s degree in food and nutrition from an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) approved program. 6-12 months of clinical work experience preferred. o OR National pharmacy technician certification (CPhTR) and licensure in the state of Alabama, preferred. o OR Completion of a formalized pharmacy technician program OR Bachelor#s degree in a health-related field from an accredited program. o Hospital work experience is preferred Experience 6-12 months of clinical, laboratory, or pharmaceutical work experience preferred.
