Dietary Technician - Pamc Nutrition Services

Works under the direction of the clinical nutrition staff (dietitians). Assists patients with menu selection within the prescribed medical nutritional therapy guidelines prescribed by the physician with special emphasis on patients with allergies and with specialized diet needs. Provides introductory patient education when directed by the dietitian and assesses the patient's need for additional intervention by the Registered Dietitians.

Under the direction of the clinical nutrition staff may complete the initial assessment of low priority patients and screen for additional interventions. Functions as a liaison between Registered Dietitians, patients and Dietary Specialists to promote optimal nutrition of the hospitalized patient.

Hours: Part-tine, Per Diem, Variable Shift

Required Qualifications:

• 6 months Healthcare food service experience
• 6 months Diet/Nutrition knowledge

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in in Dietetics or related field or Or equivalent educ/experience
