We are currently looking for a Dietary Aide at St. Elizabeth Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center. The schedule varies.

The Neighborhoods at St. Elizabeth provides a comprehensive array of individualized rehab and nursing services to seniors in the Baltimore area. Our dining program provides our residents with three meals a day and access to healthy snack options. The Dietary Aides assist in preparing the dining areas for meals and ensures the residents' needs are being met during meal times. The position offers opportunities to learn food safety and food preparation techniques.

This position will require the following:

  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a very warm environment

  • Have an understanding of customer service

VIEW JOBS 12/3/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-03-03T00:00 <p><strong>Summary: </strong>The Direct Support Professional position in our Youth Autism Program is responsible for implementing the assigned participant(s) treatment plan, working with our participants and their families to improve socialization, self-help and communication skills. The Support Staff will work with assigned participant(s) in the community and in the participant’s home.</p> <p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Communicate with participants, families, professional staff and community members in a person-centered manner.</li> <li>Develop a positive working relationship with assigned participant(s) and families. </li> <li>Treat the participant’s goals as their own, working with the participant, family and professional staff to achieve goals.</li> <li>Assisting the participant with personal care tasks that they cannot do independently such as toileting, bathing, dressing, etc.</li> <li>To actively participate in both staff and interdisciplinary team meetings. </li> <li>Work cooperatively with other Youth Autism Services staff to support participants.</li> <li>Actively participate in monthly (quarterly at minimum) observation/supervision sessions with the assigned Family Consultant.</li> <li>Facilitate building participant’s self-esteem through positive interactions.</li> <li>Plan and initiate age-appropriate community activities.</li> <li>Communicate participant and programmatic needs with the Program Manager.</li> <li>Contact supervisor if ever unable to fulfill a scheduled shift; this must occur prior to informing the family that you are unable to serve their child.</li> <li>Be knowledgeable and communicate effectively the individualized needs of assigned participant(s) within the program.</li> <li>Document participant(s) progress utilizing the iCare database system. </li> <li>Submit all documentation by the required timeframes (i.e., timesheets, transportation logs, progress notes, etc.)</li> <li>Follow all agency and program specific policies and procedures.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Qualification Requirements:</strong></p> <ul><li>Minimum age of 18.</li></ul> <ul> <li>Access to a reliable automobile and a valid driver’s license with no more than 3 points. </li> <li>Ability to lift participants up to 50 lbs. in accordance with established safe lifting procedures.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Educational and/or Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 100 hours experience living, working or volunteering with people with developmental disabilities, preferably those with Autism Spectrum Disorder. </li> <li>High School diploma or GED required.</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>Pay is based on experience but starts at $13/hr.</p><p>Paid Sick/Safe leave</p><p>Mileage reimbursement</p><p>Matching 401K if you work at least 1000 hours in a year</p><p>Free gym membership</p> The League For People With Disabilities Baltimore MD
