Position: Full-Time Dietary Aide

Location: Galleria Woods Senior Living, Hoover, Alabama

Pay Rate: $12.50 - $13.50 per hour

Shifts:

• Full time rotating shifts: 5:00 a.m.

• 11:00 a.m., 5:30 a.m.

• 1:30 p.m., and 6:00 a.m.

• 2:00 p.m.

• Off days: Tuesday one week, Wednesday the next week, and every other weekend

• Per Diem mornings: 5:00 a.m.

• 11:00 a.m., 5:30 a.m.

• 1:30 p.m., and 6:00 a.m.

• 2:00 p.m.

• Per Diem afternoons: 11:30 a.m.

• 7:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare therapeutic desserts and salads

• Serve meals in the health center

• Set up and break down dining room tables

• Transport hot and cold foods and nonfood items

• Maintain station equipment and work area in a safe and sanitary condition

• Comply with personal hygiene and dress code standards

• Attend in-service training and education sessions

• Perform specific duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Experience in food service work

• Experience with prep (sandwiches, fruits, and salads)

• Experience in working with seniors preferred

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic

• Ability to plan and organize work, set up trays and plates according to diet orders, and interpret specifications and standards

• Empathy for the elderly and a good attendance record

• Healthcare experience preferred
