We are looking for a full-time Dietary Aide for our facility. The Dietary Aide participates in provision of quality meals and nutritional services to patients, staff and guests.

Essential Duties:

  • Serves meals to all cafeteria customers.
  • Cleans work area as necessary or assigned.
  • Accepts and reconciles deliveries and puts away stock.
  • Assists the cook and dietary supervisor in food preparation.
  • Participates in activities which enhance professional growth and development.
  • Upholds the Organization's ethics and customer service standards.


Education: High School degree or equivalent preferred.

  • Required Licenses: Must obtain a Valid Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days of hire.
  • Experience: Two (2) years experience in a kitchen or customer service role helpful, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Must be able to concentrate on work amidst distractions such as noise, conversations and foot traffic; must be able to consistently meet deadlines; and finish all food preparation at specified serving time; must be flexible in work hours in order to meet patient and organization operating needs.
    • Must maintain self-control in volatile or hostile customer services interactions.
    • Must be able to adjust recipes to achieve desired results. Must be able to read and comprehend recipes or instructions on prepackaged products. Ability to read, convert and adjust mathematical measurements for recipe adjustments.
    • Must be able to use kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, mixers and dishwashers; knowledge of the hygiene factors involved in food preparation; knowledge of cleaning products and the appropriate methods of cleaning a variety of surfaces.
    • Must be able to work independently, in a result restricted physical environment for extended periods of time.
    • Must have ability to perform several tasks concurrently.
    • Must have skills in maintaining information as highly confidential.
  • Screening: Must successfully pass background check, drug screen, physical and be able to provide positive employment references.
  • Physical Demands: With or without reasonable accommodations, must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand for sustained period of time, walk, pull, lift, raise and move objects from position to position (up to 50 lbs), finger grasp; feel sizes, shapes, temperatures, and textures; express or exchange ideas orally and potentially loudly, accurately, or quickly; visually detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, assess; perceive the nature of sound with or without correction; perform repetitive motions of the wrist, hands, or fingers. Light work most of the time, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently; and occasionally medium work, that is exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently.

This is an exciting opportunity for RNs who are seeking to leverage their skills outside of the hospital setting by evaluating candidates pursuing their CNA certification. Evaluation of Candidate Skills * Proctoring a computerized knowledge-based examination, and * Objective observation and scoring of candidates demonstrating clinical skills. Test Event Delivery & Security * Prepare for events by monitoring rosters & ensuring the site is correctly set up and cleaned up * Control test area by maintaining a working knowledge of Prometric policies and practices * Greet examinees and verify identification * Monitor candidates as they complete their written exam and/or direct a proctor to administer the written exam, if applicable * Manage testing environment to ensure candidate flow * Observe and rate candidates as they complete their practical exam * Resolve candidate issues or report them to the appropriate supervisor * Protect exam content through administering computer based testing * Possess technical proficiency to reboot workstations, and reset passwords as necessary * Ensure the delivery of a seamless candidate experience * Report any occurrences which fall outside company guidelines to the appropriate supervisor Other * Develop and maintain strong working relationship with testing sites (either regional or in facility testing) * Maintain online appointment schedule to ensure event coverage * Ability to provide on-site leadership for candidates * Foster professional and courteous relationships with Nurse Aide Evaluator Community peers * Serve as a Prometric Brand Ambassador when interacting with candidates, site partners and potential clients during test administrations * Coordinate candidate rosters This position will be responsible for administering up to 3 test days a week (an average of 8 hours/ test day) at various locations within a 30 mile radius of the employee's zip code. Examinations are performed mainly Monday through Friday with some Saturday and occasional Sunday examinations. Required Experience: * Registered Nurses with active and unrestricted license in the state of operation * One (1) year of experience in long term care or experience caring for the chronically ill of any age * BA/BS Degree preferred * Ability to travel up to 30 miles one way from zip code * Intermediate to Advanced technical skills and solid familiarity with computer programs and applications(including but not limited to MS Office, Outlook, Explorer-web browsing) * Strong communication skills (oral and written) * Ideal candidate may possess staff development and/or training experience, preferred * Ability to stand for extended periods of time while administering the exam and evaluating candidates (up to as much as 10 hours per event) * Must have a valid Drivers License and vehicle to travel to test events * Access to personal computer equipment (i.e. personal computer/laptop, printer, etc.) * Strong problem solving/trouble shooting skills * Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (testing mannequin) * Must be proactive, flexible, amicable and able to solve problems independently.
