The Virginian is recruiting for a Dietary Aide to join our Food and Beverage team! This role provides full-scope, support for our Assisted Living and Memory Care Neighborhoods in our community.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

Essential Job Duties:

  • Prepares therapeutic desserts and salads as required.

  • Serves meals in the Assisted Living or Memory Care Neighborhood dining rooms.

  • Sets up tables in the Assisted Living or Memory Care Neighborhood dining room and breaks down same after meal.

  • Transports hot and cold foods to and from the Assisted Living or Memory Care Neighborhood.

  • Transports all required non food items to and from the Assisted Living or Memory Care Neighborhood.

Other Duties:

  • Maintains station equipment and work area in safe and sanitary condition.

  • Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.

  • Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.

  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

  • Minimum completion of sophomore year in high school required

  • Experience in food service work preferred

  • Experience in working with seniors preferred

  • Food Safe/Food Handlers Certification preferred

This role may lead to additional roles within the Food and Beverage Department that support other dining options provided to our residents on a daily, weekly, and or monthly basis.

Full Time or Part Time position to start with additional opportunities in the near future.

Multiple shifts: Day, Evening and Weekends

Hourly compensation $17-$20 with great benefits!
