Diesel/Vehicle Mechanic

Legacy Regional Transport, L.L.C., a wholly owned subsidiary of FutureFuel Corp, is looking for a new member for our Vehicle Maintenance Shop Team.

About The Position

Legacy Regional Transport, L.L.C. Vehicle Mechanics maintain all of FutureFuel Chemical Company's vehicle fleet including semi trucks, fleet trucks, vans, train locomotives, lulls, small engines, lawn mowers - anything that runs.

Our vehicle mechanics are masters of the craft and highly skilled in trouble shooting and reliability maintenance. Tasks can range from changing oil to rebuilding transmissions and engines and everything in between.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs highly-skilled mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic work involving fleet maintenance on a variety of electric, gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.

• Understand and maintain DOT regulatory compliance pertaining to vehicle maintenance and responsibilities.

• Keeps meticulous equipment files, inspection records and other forms of documentation.

• May drive up to eleven hours per day to cover emergency deliveries and sickness and vacation relief.

• Able to communicate with employees in any role group, as well as outside suppliers and customers

• This is a Safety Sensitive Position.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should be a graduate from a certified Diesel Mechanic School or have 6 or more years' experience on gasoline and diesel engines. High school diploma or GED, excellent driving record, and flawless background and drug test required. Applicants with a Class A CDL and Hazmat endorsements are highly favored.
