A Diesel Truck Mechanic is needed immediately in Gainesville, GA.
We are looking for a Diesel Technician who can tear down and rebuild Heavy Duty trucks.
The ideal mechanic will have experience diagnosing engine, transmission, differentials, brakes, steering, and electrical faults; experience using advanced computer software to perform diagnosing; knowledge of wiring systems, and ability to read and interpret schematics and diagrams; as well as the ability to repair or replace any component on Class 5-8 diesel trucks.
The ideal mechanic will be able to hit the ground running, and be able to work with little to no supervision.
Should have 5+ years experience, your own tools, and a valid driver's license.
All applicants must be able to pass pre-employment background checks.

$28.00 - $34.00/hour. Starting wage will depend on experience and training. Benefits kick in after the 90 day probationary period, and include: 401k, Health Insurance & Quarterly Bonuses available.

POSITION: DIESEL EQUIPMENT TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM DIRECTOR and INSTRUCTOR - Hall County Campus REPORTS TO: Dean of Applied Technology SALARY: Low to High $50's, depending on education & experience DEADLINE: Submit requested information by Aug 20th, 2018 for immediate consideration. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for teaching Diesel Equipment Technology courses and for the general effectiveness of course organization, administration, and outcomes assessment. MAJOR DUTIES: * Under general supervision, develops program and course outlines, goals and objectives * Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for credited Diesel Equipment Technology courses * Evaluates students' progress in attaining goals and objectives * Requests and maintains supplies and equipment and prepares required budget requests * Maintains program certification requirements, as appropriate * Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports * Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training area * Meets with students, staff members and other educators to discuss students' instructional programs and other issues impacting the progress of the students * Assists with recruitment, retention and job placement efforts * Work with Dean to coordinate the hiring of adjunct instructors * Manages administrative responsibilities related to scheduling, developing syllabi and teaching courses * Also performs various duties as Program Director, i.e. responsible for management of all adjunct personnel and provides all information to complete various departmental and College reports * Will assure that all programmatic standards are met * Responsible for administrative duties related to student advisement, advisory committee meetings, and program development * Other duties as assigned by Dean MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Technical Diploma in Diesel Equipment Technology from a regionally accredited college or university *AND* three (3) years of work experience in a position related to Diesel Equipment Technology. * Must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting agencies * The ability to work flexible hours and teach at multiple campuses as needed TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES: * Ability to teach all phases of the Medium/Heavy Diesel truck curriculum * A comprehensive knowledge of Diesel equipment service, including experience with maintenance, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair * Ability to develop instructional materials, evaluate students' progress in achieving instructional goals and objectives, and ensure safety and security requirements are met in the training area * Ability to obtain and maintain NATEF Accreditation in the Heavy Diesel area * Knowledge of the mission of postsecondary technical education * Ability to work and communicate cooperatively with students, faculty, and staff * Ability to handle administrative responsibilities related to teaching of courses, data collection, and reporting for license agency, accreditation agencies, and the College * Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs * Effective oral and written communication skills, decision-making and problem solving skills Note: No phone inquiries please.
