JOB SUMMARY: Responsibilities include teaching courses related to Diesel Technology. Additional duties include curriculum development and revision, student advising, assessment, student recruitment, and participation in assigned departmental, divisional, and college committees and activities.

SALARY: Starting at $55,231, commensurate with education and experience
Required Competencies
Must support the mission, vision, and values of NDSCS
Two-year degree in Diesel Technology or related area plus three years or more of recent relevant work experience in agricultural, industrial, transportation, or heavy-duty equipment OR equivalent education and experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to learn and use technology
Ability to work effectively and professionally with students and colleagues in a team setting
Flexibility to meet the needs of students
Willingness to teach students with varying levels of ability
Able and willing to keep current in the field
Willingness to teach online courses, as needed
The ability to articulate and support the two-year postsecondary college philosophy with a commitment to teaching and learning in a two-year college setting
Preferred Qualifications
Associate in Applied Science Degree
Experience troubleshooting, testing, adjusting, calibrating, and repair of agricultural, industrial, transportation, or heavy-duty equipment.
Emphasis on electrical, powertrains, engines, and hydraulics as they pertain to agricultural, industrial, and on or off-road equipment.
Shop management and supervisory experience
Evidence of attaining current industry training and/or certifications.
Teaching or training experience
