DATTCO currently has a full-time Diesel Technician opening at our Coach and Tour Fleet Maintenance location in New Britain, CT.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles

  • Performs diagnostic and repair work on all types of vehicles

  • Completes required paperwork with regards to repair orders and parts usage

  • Makes road calls

  • Owns and maintains the proper hand tools to perform job functions

  • Follow orders of the shop foreman or other supervisor

Position Requirements:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum (2) years experience in the field of automotive / truck or bus repair

  • Reliable / Motivated / Strong work ethic

  • Skills to sufficiently diagnose and repair heavy-duty vehicles

  • Overtime as required

  • Daily attendance at work

  • CT drivers license

  • Hold, or be eligible to, hold a CDL license

  • Hold, or be willing to work toward, ASE certifications

  • Adequate English verbal and written communication skills

  • Physical strength and conditioning to perform all required tasks

  • Be vaccinated or tested for COVID-19 per Connecticut Governor's Executive Orders 13D & 13G
