Seeking Experienced Diesel Technicians with passion and a desire to learn
Join our team as a Diesel Service Technician specializing in luxury coaches and buses! A diesel service technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing diesel engines and vehicles. In this role you will diagnose mechanical & electrical issues, perform routine maintenance, conduct repairs, and ensure that diesel-powered vehicle operates efficiently and safely. If you're passionate and skilled with maintaining diesel vehicles to the highest standards and providing exceptional service, this role is for you.
Core Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance functions and adjustments on buses/coaches
Diagnose and repair one or more areas, such as electrical, HVAC, suspension, mechanical, pneumatic and/or brake systems
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and component issues and perform repairs accordingly
Conduct safety inspections on equipment and prepare safety documentation as needed
Maintain proficiency with equipment and technologies that enhance productivity
Ensure work area is always clean, safe, and organized
Interact with operations and shop management
Comply with the quality and safety standards of the organization
Complete documentation thoroughly and timely
Knowledge, Skills & Ability:
Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
Ability to look up parts efficiently and independently
Be proficient in electronic data and laptop use
Pass required aptitude test
Assist customers over the phone with technical issues and /or questions
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma, or GED required
At least three (3) years' experience as a mechanic in an automotive, school bus, trucking or heavy equipment environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience
Provide own set of hand tools for regular maintenance
Proactively acquire and expand knowledge of the latest technology and systems in the industry

Physical Demands:
Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and more than 75 lbs. occasionally
Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time on various surfaces that may be uneven or slippery, including working outdoors in inclement weather
Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
