Service Technician Level III

A Service Technician is responsible for providing service to our customers while maintaining exceptional customer service. This can include: cleaning, maintenance, visual inspection, and removal of parts and attachments. Installation with the help of proper manuals, report writing, disassembly, assembly, parts reuse evaluation, and reconditioning.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.

  • Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.

  • Overhaul gas or diesel engines.

  • Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, rod and main bearings, oil pans, clutches, fan hubs, differentials, fifth wheels, brakes, change or recharge batteries, and replace transmissions and other parts.

  • Read job order, observe and listen to vehicle in operation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.

  • Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and make adjustments as needed.

  • Lubricate moving parts and drive repaired vehicle to verify conformance to specifications.

  • Tag all warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk.

  • Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility

Responsibilities: The Ultrasonographer/Echocardiographer performs a variety of technical procedures that require rational independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in performing echocardiography procedures and general ultrasound procedures with basic departmental functions and goals. Identifies cultural differences and incorporates into care. Utilizes translation services when indicated. Participates in performance improvement activities to assure continuous quality improvement. Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital's mission statement. Cares for Neonate/Infant (0-12 months) Pediatrics (1 - 17 years) Adults (18 - 79 years) Elderly (80 years). Job tasks and responsibilities include: * Performs ultrasound and echocardiography studies on patients applying prescribed methods of ultrasound technique. * Selects transducer and adjusts equipment controls according to body area to be examined, depth of field and other specifications of the test. * Determines and documents the presence, location and severity or absence of cardiac disease. * Provides a quantitative comparison for evaluation of the stability, improvement, and deterioration of cardiac disease. * Monitors, records and communicates as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems. * Explains procedures to patients and addresses any concerns or questions. * Assists physician with ultrasound guided biopsies and/or invasive procedures. * Utilizes knowledge of age specific needs of patient in performance of duties and responsibilities. * Orients and mentors new staff members. * Assists with transporting patients. * Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. * Provides a safe environment for patient, visitor and employees through identifying/correcting/reporting health and safety hazards. * ARDMS registered or registry eligible. * A single two-year allied health education program this is patient-care centered or equivalent. * Minimum of one year's experience performing general ultrasound and echocardiography procedures preferred. * New employees have up to 90 days from date of hire to obtain the American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare provider. * Customer service abilities including effective listening skills. * Basic computer skills * Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment. * Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
