At Southeastern, our Fleet Services and Maintenance Associates are second to none! We invest heavily in our equipment and those that run and maintain it. In this role, you would be responsible for inspecting, repairing and maintaining all the equipment we use to transport and handle freight. Some of the equipment you would be working on are things such as single and tandem axle diesel over-the-road and city tractors, diesel city straight trucks and propane and diesel powered industrial forklifts. Responsibilities

What you'll do on a typical day

  • Track completed and uncompleted work to maintain adequate production in order to meet service schedules and customer commitments

  • Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on the component parts and systems of trucks, tractors, converter gear, and forklifts

  • Diagnose any mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or other type of breakdown or potential failure

  • Perform routine maintenance such as lubrication, cooling system tests, brake adjustments, and tire inflation

  • Repair or rebuild all or part of a system of assigned equipment as needed

Qualifications

Here are the key things you will need to have

  • A High School Diploma or GED

  • A valid Driver's License

  • At least 6 months related experience and/or training
