Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
Repairing and troubleshooting major components such as engines, transmissions, and differentials, including replacing complete assemblies, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc.
Drive and inspect vehicles on a routine basis to identify and resolve problems
Using tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic to complex vehicle diagnostics
Doing preventative maintenance repairs-like replacing or rotating tires-and completing vehicle component lubrication and replacement, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles
Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Keeping your work area clean and safe
Knowledge of Minnie excavators & horizontal drills is a plus
Tractor and Trailer maintenance background
Major and minor electrical with the ability to maintain and troubleshoot
Knowledge of Brake & Air Systems
Basic welding and fabrication
Requirements
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools
Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
The ability to work well as part of a team and outside
Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel)
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion
High school diploma or GED (Required)
Valid Driver’s License (Required), CDL Class A or Class B (Preferred), DOT Med card (Preferred)
Clean Driving Record (Required)
OSHA10 & 30 Certifications (Preferred)
Workplace & Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to perform essential job functions safely and successfully
Candidate must possess the ability to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone
Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and crouch for extended periods
Work is performed both inside and outside in all weather conditions, on rugged terrains, and on active job sites
