We are currently seeking Diesel Mechanics for our Gloversville Truck Garage

Job Summary

The Diesel Mechanics is responsible for Maintaining and repairing our fleet vehicles.

Candidates with a strong Automotive background welcome to apply.

Summary:

Diesel Mechanics is responsible of major and minor engine repairs and works on a vehicle's electrical and exhaust systems to comply with pollution regulations. Diesel engine maintenance and repair is becoming more complex as engines and other components use more electronic systems to control their operation.

Responsibilities:

• Performing routine preventative maintenance and repairs to heavy duty trucks

• Troubleshooting and performing repairs to brakes, air ride systems, electrical components, suspension systems, etc.

• Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions.

• Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts

• Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and other associated parts

• Conducting field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown

• Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance.

• Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment, and brake checks

• Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles

• Inspecting and replacing general components as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Minimal 1 Years Diesel Mechanic/Auto Diesel Mechanic/Maintenance Fleet Mechanic Experience

• Diagnostic experience required.

• Work and adhere to all safety policies.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and maneuver any weight above 50 pounds with assistance on a regular basis.
