General Summary:

Perform standard maintenance and repair on all company vehicles including Class 8 fleet trucks.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on company vehicles including oil changes, transmission service, tire replacement, and all other general maintenance duties.

  • Complete and sign off on all work orders as assigned by the Fleet Supervisor.

  • Perform and sign off on vehicle inspections to comply with DOT regulations.

  • Ability to diagnose and perform electrical repair.

  • Ability to perform A/C diagnosis and repair.

  • Repair or replace defective brakes, transmissions, drive trains, and rear ends.

  • Will occasionally be required to respond to calls to perform roadside breakdown repairs.

  • Responsible for the completion of other related assignments as required by the Fleet Supervisor.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Diesel Mechanic.

  • Normal reading and writing skills. Legible handwriting.

  • Valid Drivers License and CDL preferred.

  • General knowledge of DOT inspection guidelines.

  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public and to understand traffic signs, to make entries on reports and records.

  • Basic computer and technical skills.

Working Environment:

The work of this position is performed in both inside and outside environments in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. The position requires the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs. Frequent bending, stooping, and climbing are also required. In this position, associates may be exposed to hazardous materials, vapors, fumes, and extreme weather conditions. Proper PPE is provided for employees working in these conditions.

VIEW JOBS 4/23/2022 12:00:00 AM 2022-07-22T00:00 General Summary: To perform all warehouse functions including preparing shipments, unloading/loading trucks, driving, and assisting Operations Personnel. The regular schedule for this position is Sunday through Thursday from 4:30 pm to 12:00 am (Or when work is completed). However, the candidate must be open and flexible for day or night shift; Sunday through Saturday. Primary Responsibilities and Duties: * Work with Lead Warehouse person to ensure uninterruptible supply for our customers in a timely and safe manner. * Unload and load product in and out of intercompany, package, and bulk trucks for next business days orders (The evening shift employees priority will be preparing orders for the next day including loading and unloading trucks.) * Follow proper SOP for loading, unloading, and flushing trucks/trailers. * Pull and stage/load the next days orders using a handheld device to locate and pull products accurately. * Operate a vehicle on McPhersons site(s) in a manner compliant with company policy and procedure and compliant with DOT. * Perform drumming requirements and other repackaging products within company guidelines to meet customers needs, as necessary. * Participate in shift opening meetings and contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures. * Prepare, complete, and submit required paperwork by the end of each shift. * Communicate with all Operations Personnel, Dispatchers, Fleet Maintenance Manager, and assist them as required. * Operate stock management tools; for example, a forklift, pallet jacks, etc. * Perform cycle counts and keep inventory records as necessary. * Help maintain a clean and safe facility. Report any accidents, spills, or other problems to the manager immediately. * Ensure the facility is properly shut down, including locking all doors and gates at the end of the shift. * Complete other duties and projects as assigned by management. Position Requirements: * Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. * Previous warehouse experience (filling/packaging/picking). * Must be at least 21 years old. * Previous experience operating warehouse equipment including forklifts (stand-up and sit-down), pallet jacks, cherry pickers, etc. * Knowledge of procedures to secure cargo in or on a commercial vehicle. * Ability to successfully complete the forklift certification test.
