We are currently seeking skilled Diesel Maintenance Technicians for our Stevedoring and/or Cargo Handling operations. The purpose of this position is to accurately and efficiently maintain and repair diesel equipment to the highest standards for safe operation for our team.

Details:
Scheduling:
Monday - Friday, day shift with nights and weekends as needed.
Compensation and Benefits:
$20-$30/hr. Based on experience

Responsibilities:
Accurately and Effectively Perform Preventative Maintenance
Inspection
Oil/Hose/Fuel checks and changes
Interpret Diagnostic test results
Hydraulic system knowledge
Repair of Diesel Equipment
Perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs on equipment including yard trucks, forklifts, trailers, clamps, conveyors, excavators, front-end loaders, bulldozers, skid steers, and similar equipment.
Repairs typically include; alternator swaps, replacing starters, changing batteries, brake repair, electrical components, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs, changing belts/fans/hoses and similar.
Troubleshooting
Inspecting equipment and electrical components to determine the type of repair needed.
Following electrical schematics to determine if electrical repair or mechanical repair is needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
3 years of experience working as a Diesel Maintenance Technician or similar with heavy equipment.
Some experience can be substituted for educational training or certifications.
Troubleshooting experience with industrial equipment
Background in preventative maintenance including oil/lube/brakes/hoses/hydraulics.
Possess a basic tool set
Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively in English
Ability to obtain a TWIC card (for more information visit the TSA website on TWIC requirements)
Valid US driver's license
Other Details:
As a port employer our team is subject to working in all weather conditions including extreme heat and harsh winters. We work in all weather conditions.
All employees must pass a background check, drug screening, and pre-employment physical and be able to obtain a valid TWIC card within a specified period of hire.
