Skills & Experience Summary
  • Diagnoses and completes complex repairs to engines either in shop or at the customers site
  • Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner. Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs
  • Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools
  • Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engine and related components in shop or in the field
  • Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor
  • Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens
  • Experience performing all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs)
Diagnostic Skills and Experience:
  • Excellent diagnostic skill and experience
  • Ability to carry out full diagnostics using diagnostic tools on different product types with or without supervision depending on skills and experience
  • Experience using Insite diagnostic tool
  • Properly use parts books, service manuals and QuickServe online
  • Experience using Cummins EDS system
Diesel Engine ExperienceAny level of experience from entry to a professional pro with Light Duty Diesel Engines to Mid-Range to High Horsepower 30 liter plus engines or Marine Engine experience.
  • Heavy-Duty external and internal engine rebuild/repair experience
  • On highway vehicles, Motor Coaches or High Horsepower Engine experience
  • Experience with engine horsepower 104 HP to 4200 HP or larger
Cummins Mid-Range Engines
  • Experience with ISX, ISL, ISM, ISB, ISC Engine
CumminsHigh Horsepower
  • Experience with QSK 30 to QSK 78 or QSK 95 or experience with K19, KT38, K50 engines
  • Experience with Diesel Engines, to include C15 to 3600 Series High Horsepower
Other Diesel Engine Manufacturers
  • Detroit, MTU, Perkins,Volvo, Navistar, Western Star, Freightliner, Mac, Paccar, Waukesha
  • Experience with Mid-Range to High Horsepower diesel engines
Natural Gas Engines
  • Mid-Range to High Horsepower experience

  • Lockout -Tagout compliant work ethics

This role will focus on leading a Software Engineering recruiting function to deliver at scale, thought leadership around technical and hiring process innovations, and partnering with HR and business leaders across Amazon to ensure the team delivers high quality technical hires when needed. Core Responsibilities: * Drive sourcing capability & capacity across a geographically dispersed team to proactively build diverse candidate pools while leveraging all available talent channels to expedite the recruitment of bar raising Software Engineer talent. * Work closely with Business, Engineering and HR leaders to influence and deliver a quality assessment and candidate experience through all aspects of the recruitment funnel. * Partner with key stakeholders (Business Leaders, Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners and Recruiting Managers) to determine future talent needs and set and drive enabling sourcing strategies; this requires a deep understanding through extensive market research of the channels (both domestic US and internationally) where we can find the best, diverse talent who fit our technical and cultural demands. * Build engage, manage and develop a team of high-performing staff in an extremely fast-paced and ambiguous environment. * Set team performance goals and metrics, timelines and a formal tracking process to measure and manage progress. * Develop and execute to plans to identify and drive productivity improvements that enable the team to deliver to hiring goals without having to scale deployed resources at a rate faster than the business is growing. * Lead and/or participate in cross-business/cross-company special projects and initiatives related to talent acquisition.
