Die Caster - 2nd & 3rd Shift

Pay Rate: $21.49 - $23.67 Shift Premium: $.20 2nd shift - $.30 3rd shift (Pay rate is based on a progression scale) Eligible for $1,000 sign on bonus after 60 days

Your responsibilities

  • Operate die cast robot & die cast machine in a work cell to cast a quality product and follow work instructions

  • Cleans flash, runner, flow pads off for assigned machines and hand trim

  • Inspects castings to ensure there are no defects

  • Perform machine start up checks

  • Assist with die changes repair and part issues

  • Communicate with other operators to discuss any problems

  • Clean die cast machine and surrounding area on a daily basis

  • Prepares appropriate paper work associated with die cast machine

  • Identify and order appropriate supplies, parts, and tools as needed

  • Place safety in the workplace above all else. Report any safety concerns.

  • Daily housekeeping and paperwork

  • Work overtime as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

Your background

  • Education and Experience Needed:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required

  • 1 year of Industrial type experience or in lieu of industrial experience will consider military service

  • Die Cast experience highly desired

  • Mechanical aptitude highly desired

  • Specialized skills or other requirements:

  • Steady work history

  • Reliable transportation to and from work

  • Adaptable to change and ability to cross-train

  • Detailed oriented

  • Must be able to work any shift

  • Physical Demands:

  • Able to perform job tasks in hot and/or cold working conditions

  • Standing for long periods of time, lifting, reaching, twisting and bending, May be required to lift up to 10 lbs. at a frequency of up to 40 times per hour. Occasional lifting up to 55 lbs.

  • Able to work with and around hot parts

  • Must be able to follow workplace safety procedures and use the personal protective equipment required

  • Able to work 40hrs a week and required overtime

  • Ability to think independently while successfully functioning in a team environment

Pay Range: $24.75 - $34.84 Shift Premium: $.20 2nd shift & $.30 3rd shift Pay rate is dependent on a skill set and/or qualifications Eligible for $1,000 sign-on bonus after 60 days Your responsibilities * • Troubleshoot & repair machine electrical/electronics. * • Operate all machine electrical tools. Interpret electrical schematics and prints. * • Complete knowledge of electronic principles as they apply to industrial machinery and controls which would enable diagnosing problems and repairing servo-motors, electronic controls, processors, and other similar equipment. * • Must be knowledgeable of how to locate information to enable repair of new equipment. * • Ensures the maintenance shop area is organized, neat and clean. Identifies and acts immediately regarding any safety hazards, spills, etc. to avoid the risk of accidents. Uses safe lifting techniques and operates power equipment in a safe manner. Abide by all stated regulations while performing work, i.e., lockout/tag out procedures, etc. Maintains records to ensure accountability of time, parts and repairs. * • Performs preventative maintenance and necessary repairs to maintain equipment * • Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or replacing mechanical components such as motors, reducers, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and transfer plates. * • Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or replacing pneumatic equipment such as diverters, air compressors, lubricators, hoses, and coils. * • Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and/or replacing hydraulic equipment such as hoses, fittings, cylinders, and pumps. * • Place safety in the workplace above all else * • Work closely with machine operators * • Work any overtime * • Other duties as assigned * Your background * Education and Experience Needed: * • HS Diploma or equivalent required * • Industrial Maintenance or similar type Associate's degree or in lieu of degree 2 years' related experience in maintenance and/or education * • 3+ years' maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred * • Knowledge of the fundamentals of industrial electrical application, pneumatics, hydraulics and control systems * • PLC troubleshooting and controls experience/knowledge highly desired. * • Knowledge of the fundamental of industrial electrical application, pneumatics, and control systems highly desired. * Specialized skills or other requirements: * • Professional written and oral skills are essential * • Ability to read prints and technical manuals. * • Ability to trouble-shoot and repair heavy machinery. * • Advanced understanding of Machine operations and diagnostics. * • Ability to effectively diagnose machine malfunctions and concisely communicate detailed root cause(s) of malfunctions. * • Ability to adapt to new technologies and manage multiple conflicting priorities and deadlines. * • Adaptable to change and ability to cross-train. * • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure. * • Must be willing to attend classes for additional job-related training. * More about us We look forward to receiving your application.
