NSTX diagnostics Technician assists with the installation, maintenance and operation of diagnostics instrumentation utilizing approved procedures under supervision and guidance of a senior technician or engineer in charge.


Install new and repair or maintain existing diagnostics, involving various electrical, electronic devices under guidance of supervisor.

Interpret engineering drawings, sketches, procedures and specifications to determine how best to fabricate, install, repair and remove parts and systems in experimental areas within the requirements of the procedures, drawings and Engineering Work Packages provided.

Install, troubleshoot, maintain and un-install various types of parts and equipment in experimental areas as needed.

Use hand and power tools and testing equipment.


  • Requires prior knowledge and experience working with electrical and electronic measuring and sensing devices; in addition to relevant electro-mechanical aptitude

  • Experience with soldering, PCB's and precision measurement instruments

  • Technical institute or AA degree with 3 to 5 years of experience; or no degree and 5 + years of experience

Additionally, focus on market development to referringphysicians with a primary focus on disease states such as cryptogenic stroke,syncope and atrial fibrillation. Collaborate effectively with theCRDM and CVG field teams to implement the Diagnostics strategies and ensureflawless execution with our customers. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: * Conduct sales calls to promoteand sell Medtronic's Diagnostic products and services to existing andcompetitive customers Partner with the CRDM and CVG sales teams for coordination and the execution ofplans to fully leverage our diagnostics and monitoring capabilities * Fully support and execute theDiagnostics launch and sales strategies. Work closely with CRDM to optimize the customer experience and ensure a"low service" model is achieved Implement quarterly sales strategies and achieve revenue, implant andprescription goals * Call on referral physicians toinclude Neurologists and Cardiologists to promote our Diagnostics Tools andexpand access to appropriate patients who could benefit * Capitalize on all field toolsto include to best manage territory business and accountplanning * Provide ongoing fieldintelligence and be "current" on competitive activity, changes in markets,distribution, and pricing, as well as provide input on customer experience.
