The Value Assignment Supervisor is responsible for the value assignment process of clinical chemistry calibrators & controls manufactured at Beckman Coulter Reagent Operations in Carlsbad, CA. This role is critical to healthcare by providing accurate medical laboratory tests that allow clinical personnel to quickly and accurately diagnose patients worldwide.

Daily activities for this role include:
Coordinate Value Assignment team with other cross-functional departments to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery of diagnostic calibrators and controls.
Assist Material Review Board in investigating non-conforming material as well as coordinate resources to execute rework.
Manage the performance and development process for all direct reports, including providing coaching and development opportunities to maximize individual potential.
Develop and build upon continuous improvement culture by reducing & eliminating waste while driving process efficiency through the Danaher Business System (DBS).
Environment is a reagent/medical device manufacturing facility with multiple manufacturing lines in two adjacent buildings.
Bachelor's degree in science, mathematics, or related applicable field.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a related lab environment with at least 1 year leadership or team lead experience.
Fluent in English, spoken, written, reading.
Understanding and experience working with basic descriptive statistics.
Past working experience and knowledge of FDA regulated working environments is highly desired.
Strong basic computer skills and experience with the MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
The successful candidate will have a natural affinity to detail and process accuracy.
Team player but also able to work independently when required
Desire to perform quality, error free value assignment analysis with the ability to create and follow step by step procedures
Able to form strong relationships with the leadership team and peers to help ensure a healthy and productive working environment.
Ability to work at a computer for occasional long periods at a time
Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
