Description

Performs radiological procedures at a technical level. Perform a variety of procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis on patient ranging from infant to geriatric.

Assumes responsibility for designated areas of procedures as required. Assists in the clinical instruction of Radiology students and other personnel as needed.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates degree in Radiologic Technology.

Licensed with IEMA.

ARRT (R) registry eligible.

Must complete ARRT registry within 6 months of hire.

American Heart Association BLS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with routine diagnostic procedures in General Radiology, experience in customer service/patient experience setting

VIEW JOBS 11/6/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-02-04T00:00 Description The ultrasound technologist independently obtains and records normal and abnormal anatomy using two-dimensional non-ionizing, high frequency ultrasonic wave for diagnosis and treatment of internal and vascular disease. Operates various imaging equipment, as well as interfaces with various computer systems including the electronic medical records (EMR) and picture archiving computer (PACs) systems. The technologist also ensures individualized, safe and desired patient outcomes in a team environment by participating and collaborating in an interdisciplinary team setting to provide exemplary service to those we serve. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Satisfactory completion of CHEA or USDOE accredited ultrasound program. Registered by ARDMS or ARRT in ultrasound or registry eligible. If not registered at the time of hire, then must be registered by ARDMS or ARRT in ultrasound within 12 months of hire date. Current BLS CPR, American Heart Association PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an AMA-approved school in radiography and/or associates degree Actively licensed by IEMA or eligible.
