Job Summary

To teach students in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program-Echocardiography Track, lecture and lab courses.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

• Teach didactic and laboratory classes to student in the DMSD-Echocardiography track.

• Courses include Echocardiography I and II, Advanced Echocardiography, Echocardiography Practicum I, II and III.

• Clinical Practicum courses require on-site visits to evaluate student progress and process assessments for students' clinical practicum experiences.

• Engage in high quality instruction in a diverse, inclusive and student-centered environment, and the ability to work with students with various learning styles, cultures, identities and life experiences.

• Use technology to enhance instruction and communicate effectively with the campus community.

• Demonstrate a commitment to the philosophy and mission of a comprehensive community college.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.

• Registered Cardiac Sonographer by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.

• Minimum of five (5) years of job experience in adult echocardiography.

Competencies

• Masters preferred.

• Supervisory experience preferred.
