A Brief Overview

The Diagnostic Imaging Manager coordinates the day-to-day activities of staff in Diagnostic Imaging and Cardiology Services. Performs radiology procedures as trained and/or licensed. Assumes responsibilities of the Director when he/she is absent, or the directorship is vacant. Continuously assesses work environment and processes to identify safety risks. Addresses safety issues identified and brought forward by staff, and resolves as appropriate

What you will do

  • Responsible for scheduling staff and timekeeping

  • Writes and updates policies and procedures which clearly outline operations and standards

  • Provides mentorship, coaching, goal setting and oversees performance development for staff

  • Evaluates competency of Radiology staff through a planned program that is developed annually and updated.

  • Develops and updates Radiology training and/or orientation programs to accurately reflect current operations.

  • Looks for opportunities to improve department and patient care quality by monitoring and measuring performance and activities, reporting outcomes, and recommending action.

  • Participates in hospital wide initiatives, develops department action plans, and engages staff to accomplish goals

  • Works with Medical Director to establish and maintain department wide clinical quality standards. Ensures examinations are performed in a timely manner, through the delegation of assignments and according to established department procedures.

  • Works with modality leads to consistently monitor imaging quality

  • Assists with development of annual operation budget, monitor budgetary performance on an on-going basis, and be able to make staffing determinations based on budget.

  • Ensure the staff licensure and certification requirements are up to date.

  • Employee must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the C-I-CARE Standards of the Hospital. C-I-CARE is the foundation of Stanford Healthcare

  • ValleyCare's patient-experience and represents a framework for patient-centered interactions

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration or related field Preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • 5+ years to 7 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist Preferred
  • 2+ years to 3 years of supervisor experience Preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently, as well as with others throughout the organization and community.

  • Ability to analyze, plan, organize and direct the work of others, to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals at all levels

  • Must possess strong computer and technology skills specific to Health Information Management, including retrieval of computerized patient health information.

  • Possesses strong organizational, managerial, leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Maintains industry knowledge through membership and participation in professional organizations.

Licenses and Certifications

  • ARRT - Radiology Tech License required

  • CRT required

  • Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers required

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $73.00 - $98.00 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
