Department Overview

Our special diagnostics and sedation nursing team supports multi-specialty independent testing and ambulatory surgery services at Children's Minnesota Minnetonka Ambulatory Surgery Center and Diagnostic Imaging Center. Our sedation nurses receive training in advanced sedation and nitrous oxide administration; they work within the radiology department and partner with the anesthesia team to provide sedation services. The radiology department is a small, cohesive unit with an experienced and dedicated nursing team that truly values putting kids first.
