MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Master's Degree in School Psychology, Special Education or related field • California Pupil Personnel Services Credential, with authorization in School Psychology • Minimum of three years' experience as a school psychologist (not including internship) • California driver's license and ability to participate in occasional overnight travel HIGHLY DESIRABLE SKILLS • Ability to conduct standardized and informal assessments of students with a full range of disabilities • Knowledge of and experience in non-standardized, clinical and developmental assessment techniques • Strong experience base in positive behavioral interventions • Outstanding oral and written communication skills • Experience working with culturally diverse populations • Bilingual Spanish • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a professional team • In-depth knowledge of special education law and educational interventions • Experience in developing and conducting trainings on assessment or intervention topics

Join the Diagnostic Center's transdisciplinary team and help make a difference for students, families and schools throughout Southern California. Diagnostic Center services are provided by a top-notch team of professionals, including school psychologists, speech/language pathologists, educational specialists, motor specialists, clinical psychologists, and developmental pediatricians.

Working as a team, these professionals address the unique educational needs of Southern California's most difficult-to-serve students enrolled in special education programs. TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES • When working on-site, at the Center: weekly, assess two children with highly varied needs; interact with their parents; observe and confer with your colleagues • When working in the field: provide consultant service to members of IEP Teams at public school sites • Compose and present meaningful and practical reports used by educators for students ages 3-22 BENEFITS • Annual Salary Range: $94,968 - $129,216 for 209 days; Monthly: $7,514 - $10,368 plus $400 Recruitment and Retention pay per month • Medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits (CalPERS).
