Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with health care professionals and those involved with patient care as a product expert to tailor solutions for patient therapy

  • Work in your own territory and also partner with team members and alliance partners for success in the territory

  • Sell in a changing health care environment, utilizing critical thinking and a strategic mindset to understand the environment (payer, health systems, business) and gain access to the customers to make an impact on patients' lives

  • Achieve sales growth in territory and deliver on strong sales results

  • Entrepreneurial mindset to analyze, develop and grow territory business

  • Operate with high integrity and comply with Lilly policies and procedures

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree as well as Professional certification or license required to perform this position (if required by a specific state)

  • Successfully completed the Pre-Employment Screen (not required for internal candidates)

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position

  • Ability to provide secure and temperature controlled location for product samples may be required

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Diabetes Sales Specialist is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales quotas/objectives for ADC Products. Collaborate with various channels, Managed Care and Retail and Point of Care representatives. Establishing strong relationships with a broad base of internal and external health care constituents (e.g., physicians, nurses, pharmacists, CDEs, etc.) acting in a friendly, respectful, adaptive manner and focusing on the needs and interests of others. Keeping current on internal and competitive products and positioning by utilizing a variety of resources. Understanding and conveying information professionally and accurately. Effectively planning for and following through with short and long term results based on business trends by developing plans that include goals, action plans, time frames and the appropriate resources. Keeping current in market trends and competitors strategy. Main Responsibilities Conveying information clearly and concisely that conveys ideas, answers questions and. responds to others and listens carefully to understand the message. Positions products and services using appropriate resources and confident, convincing logic. Tailoring sales approach to meet customer needs by utilizing appropriate resources. Handling disagreements and objections by exploring perspectives and tactfully addressing them. Develops and implements plans (e.g., territory, account and call) that include goals, action plans, time frames and resources. Regularly tracks and reports progress against plan, redirecting efforts as necessary. Completes all administrative tasks accurately and in a timely fashion. Schedules daily, weekly and monthly activities utilizing MyADC.com call reporting / tracking system. Maintain accountability for all samples in accordance with Division guidelines. Work within quality guidelines established for compliance. Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system. Accountability/Scope Sales growth of territory, Market Share and RXs. Fully knowledgeable on products and customer needs. Teamwork with representatives in other channels corroboration of ideas and sales strategies. Qualifications Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required. Minimum of 1-3 years previous experience with commendable sales track record from previous positions preferable in health care industry. Excellent communication skills, high energy, integrity and ambition to succeed.
