Dharma Bums inNew Hope, PAis seeking an experienced full-time Sous Chef.

Dharma Bums is a progressive restaurant bar serving vegetarian fare with an Asian flare. We are situated near the banks of the Delaware River canal in a historic building. Our special place offers a casual cellar bar atmosphere, outdoor dining and games in our walled-in courtyard, and an upstairs event space with live music, yoga, and craft workshops.

The #1 thing we want this role to initially accomplish is to assist our Chef.

The ideal candidate can take initiative and show leadership while at the same time being a great team player. Your demeanor is calm and friendly. You love food and have a passion for hospitality.

Position:

• Sous Chef 

Compensation:

• $50-55K salary
• Paid biweekly

Other incentives:

Schedule requirements:

• 5 days per week (Wednesday through Sunday)
• 45+ hours per week

Language requirements:

• English

Experience:

• 3+ years of previous restaurant experience in a similar role in a similar bar/restaurant
• Experience with vegan and vegetarian cuisine preferred/helpful
• Ordering & receiving, inventory
• Food safety knowledge (certification preferred)
• Managing
